Feb 10 - Cooking Class - Fireside Steak Dinner


Wednesday, February 10th, 2010,
6:00 pm - 8:30 pm. $50.00 per person.
The Gourmet Guide, Anne Boulley, will show you how to make the steak you'll want to serve at fireside with a hearty wine and music. Cuts of meat and cooking techniques for turning out a perfect steak will be discussed. Learn to make your own steak sauce and rub. You'll also learn how to make soft herbed bread sticks, asparagus with a lemon thyme butter, duchesse potatoes and a killer chocolate red wine torte.

The 5th Annual Winter Art & Chocolate Festival will take place February 13th and 14th, 2010, Saturday and Sunday, at the Brookings-Harbor High School from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Learn to cook traditional Tuscan fare including Pappa Al Pomodoro (bread and tomato soup), Fagioli Al Fiasco (beans in a flask), Anatra All'arancia (orange roasted duck), Carciofi ritti (Roman style artichokes), Pecorino Cheese with wild honey and pears, and pine nut biscotti.

Wednesday, February 26th, 2010,
6:00 pm - 8:30 pm. $50.00 per person.

Learn to make puffy omelettes, hollandaise suace and poached egges for eggs benedict, perfect bacon, blueberry scones, pop-overs, crispy hash browns and bruleed steel cut oats with dried fruits. Gourmet coffee will be served and you will take home gourmet scones for your morning breakfast the following day.
